Services
I test apps and websites across platforms for your clients to make sure the auditing and remediation cycle has caught all accessibility issues.
- Windows: Narrator, NVDA, JAWS
- Mac OS and iOS: Voiceover
- Android: Talkback
I do both unmoderated tasks as well as calls with you to make sure the finished product is truly accessible for a blind screen reader user. As a blind screen reader user myself, I give credibility to the work you've already done auditing and remediating the digital asset for your client. Both the unmoderated tasks and live calls are recorded, so you can share the recording with the client for them to use as evidence in a court of law if the need arises.
Background
I'm new to providing accessibility services, but have been a screen reader user by necessity since childhood. Growing up through the school system had many frustrations, key among them was the difficulty in getting accessible digital materials. Many websites needed for homework had accessibility barriers, which made the ordeal way more frustrating than it needed to be. So now, I'm here to bring that experience to the table in partner with you as you work to make those barriers disappear for your clients.
Beyond Work
I was born blind and I am now almost 25 years old. I spend most of my time reading and listening about current affairs, especially geopolitics and developments in the Middle East and how they impact the rest of the world. I believe strongly that all citizens of the world are created equal, nobody is inherently better or worse based on their bloodline or where they were born. I care about building a world where those realities are respected and affirmed, and where oppressive systems, structures, and policies become a thing of the past forever. I believe in a world free of barriers and exclusionary tools and technologies, in the physical spaces which we inhabit and the digital ones we rely on as well. Since that future is possible and worth fighting for, I bring my passion and compassion to the accessibility work I do, knowing full well that what may seem insignificant to us might mean life or death to someone else, depending on their situation.
