Services
I'm a digital accessibility consultant specializing in ADA Title II compliance, Shopify accessibility, and Webflow accessibility.
Since 2010, I've been helping organizations make their digital spaces welcoming for everyone. Accessibility isn't just the right thing to do - it's smart business.
What I Offer
- ADA Title II Compliance: The clock is ticking. New regulations require municipalities, school districts, courts, and transit agencies to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, with deadlines beginning April 2026. I provide end-to-end support: full audits, hands-on remediation, project management, and staff training so your team can stay compliant long-term.
- Shopify Accessibility: A great-looking storefront means nothing if customers can't navigate it. I audit and remediate Shopify stores - fixing keyboard navigation, missing alt text, theme conflicts, and inaccessible checkout flows - so every customer can browse and buy without barriers.
- Webflow Accessibility: A stunning site means nothing if it locks people out. I audit and remediate Webflow builds - resolving broken ARIA roles, keyboard traps, missing focus states, and CMS content issues - so your site works for everyone.
Beyond these core services, I also provide VPAT/ACR documentation, role-based training, European accessibility consulting, and fractional support at 5–15 hours per week.
What Makes This Different
After 15 years in this field, I know sustainable accessibility happens when people understand the "why" behind the work - not just the checklist.
You get strategy, execution, and someone who truly gets accessibility. All in one.
Background
I hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Graphic Design, providing me with a solid foundation in visual communication and user experience.
I am a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
I've been developing for the web since 1995 - back when websites were new and digital accessibility wasn't yet a focus.
As a neurodivergent person, I saw firsthand how small design choices could make digital spaces either welcoming or frustrating.
That personal experience shaped my approach to web design from the start.
Around 2010, I officially dedicated my work to digital accessibility. It was a natural step, merging years of web design know-how with a genuine passion for making digital spaces accessible for everyone.
When something deeply affects your life, you tend to notice details others might miss.
Over the years, I’ve worked with major companies like:
- Microsoft
- Penske
- Wharton University
- American Express
During my 3 years at American Express, I guided digital projects through every stage of their journey, ensuring accessibility was included from the first idea to the final launch. I rewrote the standard operating procedures for the entire project lifecycle, with role-based responsibilities that made accessibility everyone's job.
As a digital accessibility ambassador, I constantly promote inclusivity, raise awareness, and influence culture through education tailored to different roles and needs.
I am the founder of Accessibility Business Academy, an educational platform and community for entrepreneurs who want to build or grow a business focused on digital accessibility services.
Beyond Work
Life outside digital accessibility is anything but quiet.
I've been teaching Krav Maga since 1985 - these days, I focus on private training, which means more personalized, high-impact sessions.
When I'm not in training mode, you'll find me in my Japanese-inspired garden, which is exactly as peaceful as it sounds.
I love cooking, especially seafood dishes.
I'm almost done writing a book about digital accessibility for business owners - written entirely without technical jargon, for people who are brand new to the subject. It's the book I wish had existed years ago.
As someone who is neurodivergent - Dyslexic with Auditory Processing Disorder - I'm deeply drawn to communities where people learn and think differently. That connection fuels both my personal and professional life.
I'm passionate about rescue dogs, and my own dog is living proof that the best companions come from second chances.
And then there's Minecraft. Growing up in Denmark, the land of Lego, building things is practically in my DNA. I've spent hours constructing a large Japanese city from the Edo period - hundreds of buildings, all in meticulous detail. It's part creative obsession, part digital history project, and 100% worth every hour.
